Orchid People is Part of Orchid Information Systems Limited (Orchid).  Orchid is committed to protecting your privacy. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Orchid People website and service and governs data collection and usage. By using the Orchid People website and services, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

If you are a Candidate, we need to hold certain information about you and we need to share it with interested parties.  We also need to be able to get in touch with you. To this end, we hold all your information in our Third Party Marketing System.  You can request to see the information that we hold about you at any time and we will be happy to delete the record if it is no longer required.

Orchid collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Orchid also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your postal address, age, gender, preferences, interests and favourites.
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Orchid. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by Orchid for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the OrchidServe Website.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through OrchidServe public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

Orchid encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from our websites so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. Orchid is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the Orchid family of websites.

Use of your Personal Information

Orchid collects and uses your personal information to operate the Orchid People website and deliver the services you have requested. Orchid also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Orchid and its affiliates. Orchid may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

Orchid does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. Orchid may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. Orchid keeps track of the website and pages our customers visit within Orchid People, in order to determine what services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within Orchid to customers whose behaviour indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
